License Agreement
Everybody’s Building Code digital versions (EBCD) including, but not limited to, the book, illustrations, and photographs, are copyrighted material. They are offered to each individual person under the following terms. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE EBCD.
Individual License
EBCD are licensed to only one individual person for use on only one individual computer. Each individual person with access to EBCD must purchase a copy of EBCD. You may not install EBCD on a computer network unless access to EBCD is restricted to one individual person.
Authorized Uses of EBCD
You may use EBCD:
1. in residential inspection reports,
2. to promote a residential inspection business,
3. for education of one individual person,
4. in education offered at American Society of Home Inspectors chapter meetings.
Unauthorized Uses of EBCD
You may not use EBCD in any manner or for any purpose not specifically authorized, including but not limited to:
1. making copies of EBCD, except for backup,
2. altering EBCD in any way, including removing or altering copyright notices,
3. distributing EBCD in any manner or form in whole or in part, regardless of
whether or not compensation is received for such distribution,
4. education, training, and similar uses, except as previously authorized.
Disclaimer of Liability
Bruce A. Barker, Dream Home Consultants, LLC., and all parties involved in the production and distribution of EBCD make no warranties, express or implied, regarding EBCD including, but not limited to, warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, and fitness for a purpose. Licensee’s sole and complete remedy for all purposes and under all theories, including fraud and gross negligence, is the refund of the purchase price. Licensee should consult local building codes and building officials and should consult qualified contractors before all construction and repair projects.
